The purpose of this retreat is to enjoy our natural capacity to be at peace in the midst of the experiences and changing conditions of life. Mindfulness practice orientates us to the simple quality of awareness and feeling in the present moment, and encourages an open acceptance of what is. From this place new responses and insights can emerge within us, promoting clarity and compassion.
This silent retreat will consist of group sessions along with free time for retreatants to move with their own rhythm. Daily sessions include instruction in the practice of mindfulness, sitting and walking mindfulness meditations and an enquiry period. This retreat is suitable for people who are new to the practice as well as those with previous experience of mindfulness.
The seven day fully residential retreat will begin with a meal at 6pm on Saturday 8 September 2018 and finish in the early afternoon of Saturday 15 September 2018.
Cost: $540 (includes accommodation and food) plus dana/koha for the teacher)
